ROM served clear and convincing notice that they have no intention of giving up the
gold medal to anyone else. ROM won this race going away, leaving AUS, BLR and GBR to have
their own private (and very tight) race between themselves down the course. ROM advances
to the semi-finals after posting the fastest time of the day by 5 seconds in a race in
