2001 FISA Rowing World Championships
August 19-26, 2001
summary of all Final races.
Summary of all Finals races.
JAMCO will also present color-coded race result bulletins graphically
showing boat positions at each 500m interval for most of the World
Championship races between 18 and 26 August. Race results will be
posted for races in near real time, approximately 5 minutes after
each race is declared official. These race bulletins will be posted
for all 24 World Championship events, and will include all heats,
all repechages, all A/B semi-finals, and the FA and FB grand finals.
JAMCO Race Bulletins graphically portray the relative positions
of each boat at each 500 meter interval mark. In each of the last
three 500 meter intervals, JAMCO uses color coding to show which
boats are getting closer to the boats in first, second and third
places during each of those intervals.
A gold boat is gaining on the first place boat. Often when
a boat turns "gold", it takes the lead in the next 500 meters.
A cyan (light blue) boat is gaining on the second place boat,
but falling further behind the first place boat.
A bronze (orange) boat is gaining on the third place boat,
but falling farther behind the first and second place boats.
In addition, for those events which have A/B semi-finals on Thursday
and Friday, composite "predictions" of the FA finals in those events
will also be posted on Thursday and Friday after the semi-finals
are concluded. These "predictions" will simply be a mix of the crews'
qualifying times from their semi-finals races and will show how
their FA grand finals races might go, if they all perform exactly
as they did in their semi-finals races.
JAMCO will be posting complete FISA championship and Olympic Games
biographies for competitors at the World Championships. Biographies
will be posted for every competitor in each of the 14 Olympic-class
events for each country. These will be posted during the week leading
up to the first heats on 18 August based on JAMCO's proprietary
database which has been under construction since 1965.
The designation "**" under the "Place" column
means we found no previous World Championship or Olympic Games appearances
for that competitor in the JAMCO database. The designation "R"
in the "Place" column means that competitor did not advance
past the repechage level in that competition.
