The more threatening challenges should come from Luka Spik and Iztok Cop, Slovenia's gold medalists in the M2X in Sydney. The most interesting challenge, however, may come from sculling's relative newcomer, Tim Foster of Great Britain, whose 3 gold, 1 silver, and 3 bronze medals in World Championship and Olympic sweep-oared racing should make him formidable competition in sculling as well.
