Prediction for Women's Single Scull Final
This prediction is simply a mix of each crew's split times recorded
in semi-finals races. The following graphic shows how the FA final
in this event would go, if every crew in it performs exactly as
it did in its semi-final race.
Balmary of France may be the surprise here, with victories in her
elimination heat and semi-final race.
Karsten of Belarus, the reigning Olympic and World Champion
in singles, is doubling here in the single and double sculls
events, so her second place finish in the semi behind Balmary
was probably her strategy to conserve energy for both events.
Karsten is still the favorite and has already defeated Balmary, Rutschow-Stomporowki of Germany and Levina of Russia in World Cup
competition this year.
